About the Website
The origin and evolution of the District 3850 website
This website started was founded in February 2004 as a Centennial gift of District Governor Ma. Victoria "Nanette" Garcia (Rotary Year 2003-2004) to District 3850. District Governor Nanette believed that the internet, through email, egroups and websites could make the club and district leaders more effective in the performance of their responsibilities. PDG Nanette is still doing research on the history and legacy of the district so that it could be well preserved in this website.
Under the leadership of Past District Governor Ramon Cua Locsin the website was updated and improved to better serve the Rotarians of the district as a source of timely information and as a venue for the interaction of ideas.
The Governor's Monthly Letter was made available for all Rotarians to download, and news features were included in the website.
Starting on the term of Melvin de la Serna, the GML was made available for online viewing.
PP Christopher "Chris" Montero (RC Metro Iloilo) is the District Webmaster.
