Fellow Rotarians & Spouses, Rotaractors, and Interactors from our Great and Fun District 3850, HAPPY NEW ROTARY YEAR!

Today, we begin a real NEW & CHALLENGING ROTARY YEAR...as we face a different normal and changing social norms. Even as we practice different ways of greeting, gathering, dressing up, live with more restrictive movements, many things do remain the same!

Let us begin this New Rotary Year by renewing friendships among fellow Rotarians and by renewing our commitments to ‘Service Above Self’! Also, consider how our sense of Fellowship remains unchanged...and, how our sense of giving, of ourselves, remains consistent. The only change we face is HOW we undertake our brand of service...a bit of change, tho’...

Our new theme, “ROTARY OPENS OPPORTUNITIES” is our response to these changes! Yes, let us open ourselves to innovations and opportunities as we re-invigorate our Clubs, engage and animate our fellow Members, undertake our traditional projects and open new ones, increase our giving to The Rotary Foundation, and as we invite new Members into our Clubs. Let us show our communities that Rotary is not daunted by Covid and that we are in the forefront of this battle...let us show everyone by sending this message thru a bolstered Public Image campaign! Yes, Fellow Rotarians, the opportunities are endless!

Finally, let us enhance our brand of UNITY & FRIENDSHIP in spite of closed neighborhoods and travel restrictions...let us continue using new technologies in communicating with each other! 

Accept my wholehearted commitment to be your Partner in Service, to be your Inspiration, your Confidante, your Coach, your Best Friend as we navigate thru the changes...as we, TOGETHER, establish our unique brand of Transformational Leadership in Rotary!

In closing, I urge you to start this New Rotary Year with activities that celebrate children, or by activities preserving our environment, or by organizing a Blood Donation activity...and celebrate with your Clubs! Please join me, today, in Giving to the Rotary Foundation! I have just deposited to TRF, and opened our District’s contribution!
