The city is strategically located at the southern part of Negros Occidental. HOW TO GET THERE
Kabankalan is less than two hours drive south of Bacolod city by private car while public utility vehicles reach the place in about two hours.

Sinulog Festival– Kabankalan's showcase in the array of festivals in Negros Occidental. Sinulog transforms the third Sunday of January of every year into a day of riotous revelry as dancers painted in black soot stomp to the wild beating of drums. Sinulog sa Kabankalan is a hilarious festivity held in commemoration of the triumph of the townspeople against the moro pirates through the intercession of the Sto. Nino. Udyakan sa Kabankalan – A pre-Sinulog presentation of its history, culture and development through songs, dances and drama.

Balicaocao Highland Resort – Gently nestled on the hill more than 500 feet above sea level, Balicaocao offers perfect ambiance for the rest and leisure, while making a breathtaking view and panorama of the coastal towns of southern Negros Occidental, the blue waters of Panay Gulf and he Island-Province of Guimaras.
Carol-an Lake and Valley – Homeland of an indigenous people ruled by its legendary chief Manyabog whose death led to the infamous tribal suicide.
Agustina Falls – A natural pool formed by the yearly inundation, Agustina tells of a mythical lady who was enchanted by the black bird and in whose name the pool was attributed.
Mag-aso Cave & Falls – Still pristine in its form, back dropped by the large mountain range, Magaso Falls releases smoke like shower of mist as it cascades down the natural pool with its turquoise green water.
Other Natural Tourist Spots Other natural tourist spots include Magballo Cave, Fatima Cave, Tagukon River, and Tampalon Cave. The city itself has interesting, landscaped areas including City Plaza, Kabankalan Show Room and City Plaza Water Fountain.
