Why did you decide to join Rotary?

To serve the people of Guimaras not only in the alleviation of poverty but also in the
protection of its environment for the next generation to come.

What is the highest point of your service to Rotary, so far?

My principle is always to share and being a Paul Harris Fellow is already a big achievement considering our limited financial resources.

Who is your greatest influence, either philosophically or career-wise, and how do they influence you.

My idols are Messrs. John Gokongwei and Henry Sy. I salute their wisdom in creating such a huge conglomerate! They must be emulated to be able to create more entrepreneurs and provide employment for the betterment of our country.

When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Everyone's dream is always to become rich, but how to get there is always that big question mark considering that our educational system is focused on studying hard and finding a job which is a taboo for getting rich.

What is your fantasy career?

I always wanted to be an announcer and can have it for free! Joke lang!

Do you have a motto? What is it?

I always believe in the motto, Live within your means and share your blessings!

If you were granted three wishes, what would they be?

  1. Have more profitable business so I can help more people.
  2. Wish that more people be responsible citizens in protecting the environment.
  3. Wish to leave a legacy for people to emulate for the betterment of the people of Guimaras and the whole country.

What changes have you seen in Rotary since you first joined?

  1. The one time payment of $US 500 for Paul Harris Fellow is fantastic since it is very affordable considering that we have an economic slowdown.
  2. Communication is better due to high technology.
  3. Training is more intensive.

What aspects of serving Rotary bring you most joy?

I enjoy most if we do community service where you can see the glow in the eyes of the beneficiaries, especially children.

What do you do for leisure (hobbies/sports)?

Most often I do gardening on weekends and sometimes play badminton twice a week.

What's your favorite holiday destination?

I stay most often in Guimaras even during holidays. We have lots of destination not yet explored.

What is your favorite Book?

The Singapore Story. You will learn how Prime Minister Lee Kwan Yew transformed his country from chaos to one of the most progressive countries not only in Asia but the whole world. Also, Straight from the Gut by Jack Welch, the former CEO of General Electric who made the company always on top.

What is your favorite Movie?

I like James Bond movies.

When you have gone, for what do you want to be remembered?

A legacy to be remembered as the promoter of entrepreneurship not only in Guimaras but the whole of Region 6.
